Installing a CCV Camera

Installation of a Choo Choo Vision camera system couldn’t be any simpler…..

• Determine how you want to arrange the camera in the engine shell, orienting the lens in the nose, camera module in the cab area, and the DCC power unit in the rear of the shell.

• Position the lens in the cab window so it has an unobstructed view. For some engine models, you may opt to put a small hole in the front of the engine so the camera can “peer” thru.

• Connect the 2 wires leading from the DCC power unit to the truck pickups - one wire to each rail.

• Plug the DCC power unit into the Camera Module using the Camera’s USB port.

• Mount the camera lens, camera module and DCC power unit into the engine shell. Attach the lens with blue mounting putty (found in our store) or similar.

• Place the shell back on the engine, put your engine on the track and turn-on track power.

• Connect your new camera to your local WiFi network.

• Open a browser to the camera web page, and begin streaming video.
