Can CCV cameras be used in N-Scale — Certainly!

Here are some ways our N-Scale customers are using CCV Cameras:

Option 1: Pull a gondola behind your loco with the camera sitting inside the gondola. The 8" lens reaches from the gondola to the front of the cab.

  • Requires CAB-CAM, 8" lens, and extended battery. Or,

  • Power it from the track using the Choo Choo Vision Installation Kit and an 8" lens

Option 2: Pull a Hi-Cube box car behind your loco. The Hi-Cube contains the Camera, DCC power converter, and the magnetic reed switch. Power comes from the track -- one customer ran 2 small wires from the engine trucks to the camera in the Hi-Cube.

  • Requires CAB-CAM Installation Kit w/ 8" Lens

Option 3: Place CAB-CAM on a flat car in front of the engine. It's low profile, so clearance and balance should not be an issue.

  • Requires CAB-CAM with 3" lens and extended battery
